Interim & Transition Management
Senior-level operational leadership — based on LEAN culture
A key management position is suddenly vacant. A major transition requires experienced leadership. An operational challenge demands immediate, focused attention. Recruiting a permanent Director takes months. You cannot wait.
MS horizon provides immediate, senior-level operational leadership — on your terms, for as long as you need it. No lengthy onboarding. No political agenda. Just experienced, focused management from day one.
Why Transition Management
Organisations facing critical transitions need leadership that is immediate, embedded, and experienced — not a consultant who advises from the outside, and not a permanent hire that takes months to recruit.
Interim management fills the gap immediately — senior expertise, full accountability, no long-term overhead. I step in, deliver, and hand over cleanly to your permanent hire.
Unlike a consultant who advises from the outside, I work inside your organisation. Managing your teams, your clients, your operations. I arrive battle-tested, with no ramp-up period.
A Situation & The Solution
Every transition is different — the stakes, the timeline, the people involved. I don't offer templates. I offer a conversation: a chance to think through where you are, what the real risks are, and what a practical path forward might look like. No pitch, no pressure.

LEAN Methodology
A structured, step-by-step journey — from preparing your organisation for change, through building a learning culture, to sustaining continuous improvement for the long term.
Step 01
"If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail." — Benjamin Franklin
Assess where you are today and define the purpose of the changes ahead — before any training begins.

"The way you think, the way you become." — Brian Tracy
Experience-based Lean tool trainings focused on practical experiments within your familiar environment.
Learn more →Step 03
"If you stop getting better, you stop being good." — Oliver Cromwell
Maintain momentum within the never-ending PDCA cycle — always with the right tool at the right time.
Learn more →Step 01
'Go and see' where you are today and where you want to go. Before starting to train you and your people on the essential Lean tools, we will together assess your current situation and define the purpose of the changes ahead.
During this phase we define where to start, where to go, and how to get there. Once completed you will have a clear communication plan, a step-by-step itinerary, and a change team who will lead your people on this new journey.
Step 02
Our Lean tool trainings are focused on learning based on practical experiments. The key to anchoring newly learned methodologies is to practise them within your familiar environment.
Our unique training concept 'Learning Differently' is based on real-life work environment modelisation, where your teams will enjoy learning and share their newly acquired knowledge. As of now, Lean waste will be everyone's shared focus.
Step 03
Having integrated the new vision to eliminate Lean waste, you and your teams will continuously and effortlessly identify new areas of improvement.
At any given moment, when you face a new situation where new Lean tools may be needed, we will be there to share our experience. Step by step, you will integrate incremental knowledge and progress.
Our Approach
A series of Lean games using unique tools. Participants learn various Lean tools in an enjoyable, hands-on fashion — real understanding comes from doing, not from slides.
There are no rules, only experiences from which your teams develop an in-depth understanding of Lean thinking and the related tools.
We reproduce your specific industrial environment as models — touched, amended, improved. Anything that seems unsurmountable in reality can be experimented in a model world.
We identify your needs together. All materials are adapted for your collective Lean journey — you don't have to worry about anything.
No pitch, no pressure — just an open exchange to think through where you are and what a practical path forward looks like.
Get in touchOur Framework
Three main principles we work to when creating Lean culture — allowing us to create a ready-for-change environment.
What We Stand For
Honesty is our first and foremost attribute. Only with total transparency can you achieve unconditional participation of all stakeholders. As soon as your teams can put aside all worries, everyone will give everything in their ability to make progress together.
Honesty drives confidenceNo matter at what level you are within the organisation, your input is key to the future. Respect practised top-down makes teams feel valued and part of something bigger.
Respect drives trustEvery organisation has opportunities to grow through inherent knowledge and creativity. Once you get your team to share their views and take them seriously, you create an organically growing engagement that drives your business further.
Engagement grows businessOur vision is to create cultural change into a Lean organisation through shared commitment across all levels. Every single individual has a voice with the freedom to share ideas, concerns, fears and success.
We will achieve this through a structured step-by-step programme, assuring that no one is left behind, and that all aspects of the journey have been covered before moving to the next level. Right-first-time foundation creation — so you are truly ready to embark on the Lean journey.
The Person Behind MS horizon
25+ years at the sharp end of international Logistics, Supply Chain & Operations
After more than 25 years at the sharp end of international Logistics, Supply Chain, and Client Operations, Michael founded MS horizon to bring senior-level interim and transition management to organisations that need immediate, reliable leadership — without the delays of a permanent hire.
His career has taken him across Europe and beyond, leading complex operations for global logistics and manufacturing players in Healthcare, Tech, and Entertainment. Whether stabilising a leaderless site, driving a critical client integration, or rebuilding trust between teams and customers, Michael's approach is consistent: listen first, act with clarity, and leave the organisation stronger than he found it.
Alongside his operational work, LEAN has been a defining thread throughout his career — not as a methodology box to tick, but as a genuine conviction. From hands-on 5S implementation on warehouse floors to founding international continuous improvement programmes.
"People are an organisation's greatest asset — but only when the systems around them allow them to thrive."
